Grommet Top
This is one of our most popular headings. Grommet top curtains feature 1.9 inch eyelet holes spaced evenly through out the top of the curtain. When closed, Grommet eyelet curtains give a beautiful wave look. They are suitable for curtain poles only and should only be paired with poles with at least 1.5 inch in diameter.
Calculate the Recommended Curtain Width
If you already have a curtain pole, measure its full length. We recommend a fullness ratio of 1.5x-2xto create the waves and folds when the curtains are closed.
Fullness Ratio= Curtain width / Curtain pole length
If you do not have a pole yet, follow the steps below to measure the desired pole length and then calculate the recommended curtain width before you order curtains from us.
Referring to the diagram
1. Obtain Measurement A
Measure the full width of your window, if it is in a recess, measure the full width of the recess.
2. Obtain Measurement B
If you have a recessed window, you have the option of fitting the curtains inside the recess or above. If you want your curtains above the window, you need to decide how far your curtains will over-hang the wall on each side of the window. This would normally be around 8 inches each side and enables the curtains to open wider. More daylight can enter the room and gives room for fixture on the end of the curtain pole.
3. Obtain Measurement C
Simply add up Measurements A+B+B from steps 1 and 2, this will give you the desired curtain pole length. Please do not include curtain pole finials for measurement C.
4. Obtain the recommended curtain width
Finally, multiply C by 1.5-2, depending on how full you would like your curtains to look when closed, you will have the recommended curtain width.
Recommended Curtain Width = 1.5 to 2 x Measurement C
Choose Your Desired Curtain Length
Sill Length
Measure the distance between the top of the pole to the bottom of the window and then add 1.2", this should be the ideal length for the curtain if you are looking to achieve sill length.
Below Sill
Measure the distance between the top of the pole to the bottom of the window and then add 7.2”, this should be the ideal length for the curtain if you are looking to achieve below sill length (about 6“ below your window sill).
Floor Length
Measure the distance between the top of the pole to the floor and then add 0.2", this should be the ideal length for the curtain if you are looking to achieve floor length (about 1” above the floor).
Tab Top
Tab top curtains feature fabric loops at the top which the curtain pole passes through. Tab top can be used to showcase the pattern of the curtain as the curtain fabric is flat when the curtains are shut. Please note they are suitable for curtain poles only.
Calculate the Recommended Curtain Width
If you already have a curtain pole, measure its full length. We recommend a fullness ratio of 1.5x-2x because we think most of the time curtains with tab top heading do not need too much stacks and gathering at the top.
For example, if the pole’s full length is 80 inches, the single panel curtain’s width needs to be 40-60 inches if you are looking to have 2 panels of curtains.
Fullness Ratio= Curtain width / Curtain pole length
If you do not have a pole yet, follow the steps below to measure the desired pole length and then calculate the recommended curtain width before you order curtains from us.

If you have a recessed window, you have the option of fitting the curtains inside the recess or above. Grommet Top & Bottom
This is our most windproof curtain work and highly recommended for outdoor use. They also have 1.9-inch eyelets like our grommet top curtains. They are suitable for curtain poles only and should only be paired with poles of at least a 1.5 inch diameter. Grommet top and bottom curtains can block wind and rain real good as they are supported by two poles at the same time. Whatsmore, privacy is also guaranteed when these curtains are closed!

How do I determine the size of my curtains?
Regarding the width of curtains: In order to make the opened curtains more wavy and aesthetically pleasing, curtains need to have a fullness of 1.5 to 2 times. That is to say, the width of the curtain is between 1.5 and 2 times the width that needs to be covered.
For curtains with top grommets, the fullness should be greater than 1.5. Because the grommet forms wrinkles after passing through the curtain rod, the curtain cannot be opened 100%. The larger the fullness, the more beautiful the curtains will be when opened.
For curtains with tab top, the fullness should not be greater than 2, as excessive fullness will prevent the curtains between each tab from unfolding well.
Regarding the length of curtains: The actual height of the space that needs to be covered is the length of the curtains. We use the distance between the curtain rod and the bottom as the length of the curtain.
For curtains with top grommets, the length of the curtain is the distance between the top edge and the bottom edge, including the grommet.
For curtains with tab top, the length of the curtain includes the length of the tab. If you have special requirements and require an additional tab length, please let us know after placing the order. We offer special length customization.
How many curtains do I need?
Usually, we use two curtains for one opening because people can enter and exit through the gap between the two curtains. Although the gap between the two curtains cannot be seen when the curtains are opened, it is very convenient for someone to pass through the middle. Moreover, when the curtains are closed, it is more aesthetically pleasing for the two curtains to be symmetrically folded towards both sides.
Some porches have a large width and require several curtains to be used together. If you still want to use two curtains, it requires a wide width of the curtains. This is also possible. We can custom curtains size.
